Vertex IT Solutions is hiring a skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer to join our growing technology team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about building scalable, secure, and automated infrastructure.

You will work closely with developers, QA engineers, and IT operations to optimize deployment workflows and ensure system reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment workflows. 
  • Oversee cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), ensuring availability, security, and scalability. 
  • Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. 
  • Monitor and troubleshoot system performance with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog. 
  • Manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes or Amazon ECS. 
  • Resolve application and infrastructure issues across development, staging, and production environments. 
  • Implement disaster recovery, backup, and failover strategies for business continuity. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate DevOps best practices across the development lifecycle. 

Required Skills from DevOps Engineer: 

  • 2–3 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or similar role. 
  • Expertise in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI. 
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure). 
  • Proficiency in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm). 
  • Hands-on scripting experience using Bash, Python, or Go. 
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging solutions (ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana). 
  • Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator). 
  • Experience deploying and managing microservices architecture. 
  • Strong understanding of DevOps security best practices and secure infrastructure design.
