Vertex IT Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and results-driven E-Commerce SEO Specialist to lead our search engine optimization strategy for online sales channels. The ideal candidate will be responsible for improving organic search visibility, optimizing product pages and content, and driving targeted traffic to our e-commerce platforms. This role requires a deep understanding of SEO best practices, keyword research, analytics, and current e-commerce trends to increase search rankings, boost conversions, and support overall revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement SEO strategies tailored to e-commerce websites to increase organic traffic and search rankings.
  • Conduct in-depth keyword research and implement targeting strategies for product and category pages.
  • Optimize on-page elements including product titles, meta descriptions, URLs, image alt text, and schema markup.
  • Monitor and improve website crawlability, indexation, and technical SEO performance.
  • Collaborate with the content, design, and development teams to ensure SEO best practices are implemented across the site.
  • Manage and improve internal linking structures to boost page authority and site navigation.
  • Track and analyze site performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, and Ahrefs.
  • Perform competitor analysis and market research to identify new SEO opportunities.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure site speed, mobile usability, and Core Web Vitals are optimized.
  • Generate regular SEO performance reports and insights for stakeholders.
  • Assist in backlink building and outreach strategies when required.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, IT, Business, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of hands-on SEO experience, specifically in an e-commerce environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms and ranking methods.
  • Strong experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, BigCommerce).
  • Proficient in SEO tools: Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, etc.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and how they relate to SEO.
  • Understanding of schema markup and structured data specific to products.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
