We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Owner to join our team. The Product Owner will play
a critical role in defining and prioritizing product features, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving
product development initiatives from conception to delivery.
The Product Owner will take responsibility for the delivery of the product from the specification of requirements
prepared in collaboration with product and business, to the implementation and rollout of the new or revised
products/services and features, throughout their lifecycle. This person takes the role in Scrum accountable for
maximizing the value of a product, primarily by incrementally managing and expressing business and functional
expectations for a product to the Development Team(s).
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders, development teams, and end-users to define product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and prioritize product requirements, ensuring alignment with
business goals and customer needs. - Define and maintain the product backlog, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and release plans.
- Work closely with development teams to provide clarity on product requirements, resolve blockers, and
ensure timely delivery of high-quality features. - Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and
opportunities for product innovation. - Lead Scrum teams to define product vision, roadmap and growth opportunities and communicate with
stakeholders. - Continuously monitor and evaluate product performance, gathering feedback from stakeholders and endusers to inform future iterations and enhancements.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on product functionality, features, and roadmap during stakeholder
meetings, demos, and presentations. - Plan and coordinate product releases, considering factors such as feature dependencies, resource
availability, and market timing. - Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives,
ensuring adherence to Scrum principles and practices. - Preparing all related documentation for review by the development team, driving and supporting the
development team throughout the build, and supporting QA with hands-on testing and definition of test
cases.
Requirements:
Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of Proven experience as a Product Owner in software development or IT industry.
- In-depth understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean principles.
- Experience with project management tools such as JIRA, Trello, or Asana is must.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead cross functional teams, collaborate effectively, and foster a
positive and productive team culture. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements
- into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build consensus and drive
