We’re now looking for an ambitious and results-driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to help
us generate leads, drive sales pipeline growth, and support our high-performing sales and marketing teams.

Position Overview

As an SDR at Vertex IT Solutions, you will play a critical role in identifying and qualifying new business
opportunities. You will work closely with the sales and marketing teams to engage potential clients,
understand their needs, and ensure a smooth handoff to account executives for further engagement.
This position requires a proactive, goal-oriented, and communicative professional who thrives in a fast
paced, target-driven environment. You will be responsible for building strong relationships, maintaining
accurate sales activity records, and contributing to the overall growth of the company.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Identify and research potential clients in target markets through various channels, including LinkedIn, email, cold calls, and referrals.
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads to ensure alignment with the company’s ideal customer profile.
  • Maintain a steady pipeline of prospects to support monthly and quarterly sales targets.

2. Outreach & Engagement

  • Conduct initial outreach to prospects via email, phone, and social media.
  • Engage potential clients with tailored messaging that highlights the value of Vertex IT Solutions’ products and services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects, ensuring a positive first impression of the company.

3. Collaboration & Handoffs

  • Work closely with account executives and sales managers to ensure qualified leads are properly handed off for follow-up and closure.
  • Provide feedback to marketing teams on lead quality and messaging effectiveness.
  • Participate in team meetings to align strategies and share insights on market trends and client needs.

4. Data Management & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities in the CRM system (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).
  • Track key metrics such as call activity, lead conversion rates, and pipeline progression.
  • Generate regular reports to help optimize lead generation and sales strategies.

5. Continuous Improvement

  • Stay informed about Vertex IT Solutions’ products, industry trends, and competitors.
  • Continuously refine outreach strategies and messaging to maximize engagement and conversion.
  • Participate in training and coaching sessions to enhance sales skills and product knowledge.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in sales, lead generation, or business development, preferably in the IT or software industry.
  • Strong communication, persuasion, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and sales automation platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple leads and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly self-motivated, target-driven, and results-oriented.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail.
